How to Write A Business Plan
Beginner - Advanced Level, 5-Week Course
Mon: 9:00 - 9:50 AM EST
Mon: 12:00 - 12:00 PM EST
Mon: 8:00 - 8:50 PM EST
This course walks students through what it actually takes to start a business — not the theory, but the real decisions and steps that help grown a small idea into a flourishing venture. Led by a local businesswoman who has built and run her own ventures and brick-and-mortar shops, the course draws on firsthand experience rather than the typical textbook concepts.
Over the course of the class, students will dig into the factors that matter most when starting a business — things like knowing your market, and understanding your costs. Students will also learn the important vocabulary needed to be successful in the business space, and study each part of the business plan with a ready-made writing assignment each class. By the end students will leave with a polished business plan that's specific to their own idea, along with a concrete set of next steps to carry them forward once class is over.
